Eligibility Verification: Perform eligibility verification, obtain pre-certifications and/or authorizations, and ensure that patients meet the necessary requirements for services. Financial Arrangements: Make financial arrangements and request/receive payments for services, while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. Clinical Partnerships: Develop and maintain close working relationships with clinical partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care. PBX Coverage: Provide PBX (switchboard) coverage and support as needed, ensuring that patients and customers receive prompt and courteous service. What We Are Looking For: To be successful as a Consumer Access Specialist, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Experience: One year of relevant healthcare experience and one year of customer service experience. Collections Experience: Prior collections experience is required. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, customers, and clinical partners. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare Experience: Experience in a healthcare-related service role is preferred. Medical Terminology: Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred. Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with patients, customers, and clinical partners, both verbally and in writing. Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to accurately verify eligibility and ensure that patients meet the necessary requirements for services.
