Key Responsibilities Ownership of HR Function: Manage and work closely with the HR Manager to oversee the HR function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic plans. People Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive People Strategy that supports business growth and employee engagement. HR Policies and Employee Handbook: Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of HR policies and the Employee Handbook with relevant UK employment legislation, ISO 27001 requirements, and data protection regulations. Recruitment Activities: Oversee all recruitment activities, including resource planning, recruitment strategy, benefits planning, and onboarding processes. Health and Wellbeing: Promote employee health and wellbeing through robust processes, plans, and leveraging existing benefits and resources. HR Support: Provide specialist support for complex people issues, manage flexible working requests, maintain HR records, and administer the HR system. Performance and Development: Ensure compliance with performance management processes, manage the annual review process, and facilitate career development pathways. Culture and Employee Engagement: Foster a positive organisational culture, promote employee engagement, and develop recognition schemes and reward programs. HR Integrations and Operating Model: Ensure a cohesive operating model is in place, including integration of acquired companies and management of consultations for TUPE of staff. ESG Agenda: Oversee the definition, delivery, and management of our ESG agenda, including B Corp Assessment, environmental policies, and social responsibility plans. Continuous Improvement: Review and refine HR processes and procedures to maximise operational efficiencies. Corporate Governance: Input into the leadership of the organisation, lead the Corporate Governance Agenda for HR, and ensure KPI reporting and Board Papers are produced in accordance with the corporate governance timetable. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: A CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience. Proven experience as an HR leader or senior HR professional in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong understanding of UK employment legislation, ISO 27001 requirements, and data protection regulations. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team. Experience with HR systems, recruitment strategies, and performance management processes. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Additional qualifications or experience that would be beneficial include: Experience in a part-time or flexible HR role. Knowledge of B Corp Assessment and ESG agendas. Familiarity with M&A activities and TUPE processes. Experience with organisational design and development.
