Leadership Metro Richmond, a regional community leadership development and engagement organization, is seeking a Major Gifts Associate. The Major Gifts Associate is responsible for supporting the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-value prospects and donors by conducting research, managing donor relations, coordinating communications, and generally supporting the CEO and volunteers in securing significant financial contributions. Essential functions include: • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to identify and qualify potential major donors and execute tailored fundraising strategies • Prospect Research: identifying and qualifying potential major donors through research on philanthropic interest giving history and financial capacity • Donor Cultivation: support the building of relationships through personalized communication and informational conversations • Stewardship: manage ongoing communication with major donors, provide updates on program impact and LMR's gratitude • Record Keeping: maintaining accurate donor records and tracking interactions with the CRM system The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with donors and volunteers, strong research and analytical abilities to identify potential major donors and understand their philanthropic motivations, proficiency in writing proposals and donor communications, experience with CRM systems for managing donor data and tracking interactions, and knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethical standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and five or more years fundraising experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven success in fund development; preference for experience with cultivating alumni donors. CFRE designation preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; CRM experience (Salesforce) is preferred. Salary: This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week. Pay rate is $35 per hour.
