A Day in the Life of a Technical Service Specialist In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that are crucial to the success of our CareLink Express Service. Your day will typically involve: Reviewing Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device data and providing quality analysis of the data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Providing results to facilities in a specified timeframe via phone and written communications, ensuring that healthcare professionals have the information they need to make informed decisions. Providing accurate technical information to callers, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Receiving, documenting, and reporting customer contacts and complaints for tracking, trending, and FDA reporting, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance. Training others on non-technical aspects of the job, as well as technical training and certification, to ensure that our team has the skills and knowledge needed to excel. Operating a computer and working in multiple operating systems, utilizing technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Answering incoming calls from customers and providing technical support to incoming callers who need assistance utilizing interrogation devices for pacemakers/implantable defibrillators. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biomedical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role, or an advanced degree in lieu of years of experience. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with reading, interpreting device diagnostics and troubleshooting Cardiac Implantable Electrical Devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT-D devices. Previous Cardiac experience, either in a clinical or technical setting. Field sales or clinical specialist experience with cardiac devices, with a strong understanding of the medical technology industry. Call center or customer service experience, with a proven track record of providing excellent support and service to customers. Medtronic CIED device product knowledge, with a strong understanding of our products and services. Remote Monitoring experience with CareLink and/or CareLink Express website, with the ability to navigate our systems and provide technical support. Knowledge of FDA/GMP/MDR device regulations, with a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and our compliance requirements. Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Analytical/critical thinking skills/experience, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to utilize computer and telephone efficiently, with a strong understanding of technology and its applications in a technical support role.
