Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Licensed Health Professional Lab Instructor to join our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) education team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of EMS professionals by delivering theory and skills training to students in a laboratory and hospital setting. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere and providing a competitive salary ranging from $20.00 to $40.00 per hour. Key Responsibilities Deliver theory and skills training to EMS students in a laboratory and hospital setting, under the general supervision of the Dean of Health Sciences and the Associate Dean of EMS Supplemental teaching and demonstration of EMS skills, facilitating hands-on learning in a laboratory setting Evaluate and provide feedback to students, using student interaction and demonstration Instruct students on the most current DOT curriculum, as approved by the Florida Bureau of EMS, including patient assessment and treatment of medical and trauma emergencies Ensure adherence to established College, Departmental, and Program policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Essential Qualifications Florida certified paramedic in good standing Associate's Degree or higher in EMS or a related field Completion of Level A - EMS Instructor Course Curriculum, as defined in 64J-1.0201 (Level A training must be completed prior to processing and start date) Currently employed by an ALS provider with a minimum of 3 years of ALS-level patient care experience Knowledge of EMT/Paramedic theory and practice Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a range of emergency medical equipment Ability to practice at a level appropriate to the level of instruction being provided Ability to assess student performance and provide appropriate feedback Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications AHA BLS Instructor certification AHA ACLS & PALS Instructor certification (must obtain within six months of hire) Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At HCC, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our faculty members.
