Role Description Join Ciena's Services PLM team as a Specialist, Product Line Management and play a pivotal role in driving innovation, enabling global capabilities, and maximizing opportunities in the implementation and migration space. Address day-to-day portfolio inquiries and provide RFP assistance. Develop, track, and manage offers/kits through the New Service Introduction process, collaborating with marketing to define sales enablement and customer awareness strategies. Analyze KPIs relative to industry benchmarks, including business metrics, portfolio performance, and competitive offer assessments. Lead sales enablement initiatives to drive adoption of targeted offers with field teams. Support the Offer Innovation process by assessing portfolio opportunities, pricing strategies, cost-saving measures, and market trends critical to Ciena’s business. Represent the portfolio during product release calls to ensure alignment with new product launches. Capture customer requirements from delivery organizations, sales teams, and other sources, integrating them into service roadmap plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration (preferred) or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of experience in telecommunications. Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across product management, engineering, sales, and customers. Strategic thinker with a creative approach and strong business acumen. Knowledge of Service Provider core networks and business models. Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines. Sensitivity to customer timelines and adaptability to time zone differences. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Willingness to travel (<20%). Requirements Familiarity with Ciena technologies like RLS, Waveserver, 6500, Packet Networking, and Navigator. Experience in delivering services within the telecommunications domain. Exposure to industry benchmarks and competitive analysis. Background in developing and evangelizing new services and capabilities. Understanding of pricing strategies and market inflection points.
