The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks, and experience withspecialized engineering tools. This role requires a solid foundation in seismic engineering and finiteelement methods to support complex project needs in a dynamic work environmentEssential ResponsibilitiesAnalysis of structures, including concrete and steel, use of finite element method analyses. Working with the following codes preferred: ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC N690, Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual. Qualifications / RequirementsProficiency in the Seismic structural analysesProficiency in ANSYS APDL is required. With the ability to build detailed models, perform static and seismic runs, and develop or modify post-processing scriptsProficiency in LS-Dyna is a preferredComputer programing skills (e.g. MATLAB, or Python) is not required but preferred. Proficiency in concrete, steel and composite structures analysis and designAISC/ N690 experience is a preferredP. E. (US candidates), P. Eng. (Canada candidates) certification preferredAdditional Desired CharacteristicsPlanning and Organizing: Effectively prioritizes and plans work activities, manages personal and project timelines, and uses time efficiently to meet deadlines.
