Key Responsibilities Model and convey a clear and excellent customer experience, greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services Register sales on assigned sales register, provide customers with respectful, fair, and courteous checkout service Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering help with products and services, and resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience Model and share customer service best practices with all colleagues to deliver a particular and superb customer experience, including relational habits (e.g., welcoming, eye-to-eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service characteristics (e.g., offering assistance proactively, recognizing needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.) Furnish customers with courteous, friendly, prompt, and efficient assistance Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-up and/or companion items Register customer purchases on assigned sales register, collect cash and dispense change as needed; process voids, returns, postponements, discounts, and trades as necessary Maintain counters and sales floor clean and well-merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records Check in and price stock as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader Implement Company asset protection strategies to identify and minimize profit loss Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances (e.g., liquor and tobacco products) Build and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super designs, and sale stock; complete resets and revisions as directed Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement according to policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves) Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, banner print and creative machine, and sale of special photo items Take on web pick obligations (screens orders in Picture Care Plus, handles orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store) Assist with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, sleek, methodical store environment and appearance Follow all Company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with colleagues Complete special tasks and other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico) Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours Preferred Qualifications Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment Prefer previous work experience with Walgreens Prefer ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico) Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walgreens, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
