Job Summary The Enrollment Technician II is a critical role responsible for accurately enrolling members into CareFirst's member enrollment systems in a timely manner, adhering to account contracts or service agreements, especially for complex accounts. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including client account contacts, subscribers, and internal teams such as Sales, Underwriting, Finance, and Information Technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skillset in relevant areas, including attention to detail, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Member Enrollment Management: Enroll subscribers and dependents for all lines of business as requested via fax, U. S. mail, and/or e-mail for complex accounts. Verify enrollment status, make changes to membership records, research and resolve enrollment system discrepancies, process membership terminations, and handle other forms of enrollment events. Monthly Reconciliation and Discrepancy Resolution: Complete monthly reconciliation processes and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Coordination with Internal Teams: Coordinate with the Account Installation Team regarding member identification card processes to ensure cards are not released until all enrollment updates are completed and audited. Work closely with the Billing Technician to ensure that all group enrollments are processed prior to running the monthly bill. Training and Support: May assist with initial training for new hires and training refreshers for experienced hires to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing. Essential Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: 3 years' experience in membership enrollment, member services, billing, claims operations, and/or data analysis. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and ability to learn and comprehend details of client accounts, process flow diagrams, and health insurance enrollment software. Preferred Qualifications Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to resolve complex enrollment discrepancies and optimize processes. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt swiftly to multiple and rapidly changing priorities, deadlines, and work environments. Skills and Competencies Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering data into CareFirst systems. Customer Service: Ability to provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including those who may be demanding or challenging. Teamwork and Collaboration: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to shared goals and objectives.
