Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Financial Accountant to join our team as a Remote Data Entry and Bookkeeping Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex financial accounting tasks, including data entry, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to more experienced colleagues on financial accounting-related matters. Key Responsibilities As a Remote Data Entry and Bookkeeping Specialist, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: Perform complex financial accounting tasks, including data entry, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Provide guidance and support to more experienced colleagues on financial accounting-related matters. Accumulate and analyze financial data for financial and administrative reports. Review information from the general ledger, unit reports, and other financial systems to ensure accuracy. Prepare and audit account reconciliations and confirmations. Investigate projects related to financial accounting strategies, techniques, or systems. Perform ongoing financial control activities in accordance with internal control policies. Provide practical guidance and training to colleagues on financial accounting-related matters. Offer support for consistency and risk management requirements. Collaborate and communicate with partners throughout the project. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications: 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, financial reporting, accounting detailing, or risk revealing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, education, military experience. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data into meaningful information and recommendations. High-level Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and partners. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 2+ years of SEC/administrative quarterly reporting experience; Fiserv data/knowledge. COSO-based Sarbanes-Oxley internal control assessment execution. Military knowledge or auditing experience, including functional management, project management, mission development management, and financial management. 1+ year of credit card industry reporting; corporate/business loan products knowledge. Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Large 4/provincial public accounting/financial services experience. Transitional Essbase/SmartView, high-level Microsoft Excel with VLOOKUP/pivot tables. Strong knowledge of financial accounting systems, including general ledger and financial reporting systems. Free judgment/imaginative critical thinking to investigate/recognize/see downstream effects in complex matrixed environment.
