The Challenge As a Remote Scrum Master, you'll be instrumental in coaching our development team to achieve sprint goals, ensuring the successful progression of critical projects. By applying fundamental Scrum principles and concepts, you'll resolve routine problems and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Utilizing tools like Jira and Microsoft Office applications, you'll facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, driving sustainable process enhancements that benefit the team and the project. Key Responsibilities Coach and guide the development team to focus on sprint goals and objectives Apply Scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems and improve team performance Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to drive project progress Utilize tools like Jira and Microsoft Office applications to track progress and identify areas for improvement Strengthen sustainable process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity Communicate technical ideas in a non-technical way to stakeholders and team members Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution within the team Collaborate with the team to refine and maintain the product backlog Help software development teams apply the Scrum framework to achieve project goals Plan deliverables and monitor team performance to ensure successful project outcomes Resolve issues that hinder the team's work and manage project scope and timelines Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you'll need: 2-3 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of success Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification or other Scrum Master certification Familiarity with software development and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts, such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement Familiarity with other Agile frameworks and techniques, including Kanban, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, and continuous testing Strong communication and servant leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate discussion and conflict resolution Experience with problem-solving and conflict resolution, with outstanding organizational skills Proficiency in MS Teams online collaboration tools and the ability to communicate technical ideas effectively A Bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Preferred Qualifications To take your application to the next level, consider the following preferred qualifications: Experience using Atlassian tools, such as Jira, to track project progress and manage workflows Ability to educate teams on refining and maintaining the product backlog Experience helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework to achieve project goals Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and its application in large-scale projects Ability to plan deliverables, monitor team performance, and manage project scope and timelines Experience coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups to drive project progress Strong internal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to facilitate effective teamwork Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At ThunderYard Solutions, we're committed to your professional growth and development.
