Job Overview As a Customer Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for working closely with our sales teams, product marketing, and engineering groups to deliver tailored solutions to our clients. Key Responsibilities Identify business and technical requirements, lead full technical discovery, and design client solutions to meet assembled requirements. Lead technical projects, technology support, proposal bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources. Deliver product messaging for the Google Cloud Platform using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demos, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents. Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application frameworks to implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to clients to optimize Google Cloud platform effectiveness. Attend client sites, meetings, and other events as required. Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. At least 2 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role. Experience with legacy and modern application development, cloud service delivery, and infrastructure. Experience with containers, including Kubernetes and other related technologies. Preferred qualifications include: Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Full Scope Polygraph clearance. Experience developing mobile architectures using API management, microservice architectures, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other relevant platforms. Experience with Government Public Sector clients, including defense and civilian agencies. Knowledge of application security designs, including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security techniques. The ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, philosophies, and solutions in the Google Cloud/IT technology space.
