Why You'll Love This Job This role is part of the Data Innovation Group within the Data Innovation Division at American Airlines. As a Data Entry Technician, you'll be responsible for supporting end-users in all aspects of end-client computing, including software/equipment installations, upgrades, and general maintenance of PC workstations and peripherals. Key Responsibilities Resolves and closes tickets/work orders supporting end-client workstations and peripherals Answers client care issues raised from the Helpdesk Contributes to workstation projects (global installations/redesigns) as a project team member Remotely resolves and closes demands using remote tools Investigates and collaborates with other departments to assist with system-related issues Records client interactions in incident management software, including resource management Recovers data from hard drives or performs data migration Upholds remote access for virtual private network (VPN) availability as well as remote/broadband network for workstations Installs and designs local and network-based printers Performs security support Works various shifts, including on-call and travel as required Follows management direction, complying with IT strategy and procedures Performs other duties as mentioned Travels, as required All You'll Need for Success To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience/training 2 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving various PC workstation software and hardware issues First-hand experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCPIP environment Preferred Qualifications A+ certification MCSE/MCP or higher Prior IT foundation experience in an Aircraft/Airport environment Skills and Competencies Required To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 Knowledge of workflow and tagging systems Knowledge of VPN networks and ability to troubleshoot issues Ability to work independently and act in a collaborative, team-based environment Ability to lift at least 50 pounds What You'll Get As a member of the American Airlines team, you'll enjoy a range of benefits and perks, including: Medical benefits: On the first day, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay healthy.
