As a Field Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams of Airline stewards, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and operational excellence. About the Role As a Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the Airline steward workforce, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and excellence. Your key responsibilities will include: Building positive relationships with leaders and Airline stewards to maintain workforce engagement, commitment, and flexibility. Performance-based management of large teams of Airline stewards on KPIs such as security, reliability, customer satisfaction, and financials. Promoting a culture of safety, health, and well-being, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures. Addressing Quality Assurance issues, such as uniform compliance and overall performance. Collaborating with base support staff, various departments, and internal/external partners to drive continuous improvement. Participating in leadership flying programs and supporting the Airline steward team. Proactively responding to and following up on time-sensitive matters and competing priorities. Providing essential support to Airline stewards before, during, and after flights. Acting as a liaison and support for assigned projects within the base and/or department. Communicating regularly with remote Airline steward workforce. What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: The ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. The capacity to handle confidential information with professionalism, caution, and discretion. Proven consistent problem-solving skills in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment. Experience in training and delivering feedback for developmental purposes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications. The ability to complete initial Airline steward training and maintain qualifications. In addition to these essential qualifications, the following preferred capabilities will give you a competitive edge: Two years of experience in In-Flight Administration, three years of Delta experience, and/or external supervisory experience. A four-year college education. Working knowledge of internal Delta-specific applications.
