As a Bilingual Youth Care Worker, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission and making a real difference in the lives of those we serve. Job Summary and Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Youth Care Worker to join our team. As a Youth Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to our residents, supervising daily activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Your duties will include: Supervising and logging all domestic and international calls for residents Caring for children while residents attend groups and as needed Supervising and monitoring interactions between residents to ensure a safe environment Planning, supervising, and participating in recreational and/or physical activities as scheduled Completing computer-related tasks, such as documenting daily logs and incident reports using our internal database Processing medications from the pharmacy using our internal database and dispensing medications as needed Assisting with transporting residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and other activities as needed Supervising evening chores and room checks Cooking and supervising residents with dinner preparation and clean-up during weekends, holidays, and as needed Other duties as assigned by the Director, Senior Director, or Vice President Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and requirements: Minimum of 1-year cumulative employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and valid vehicle insurance Ability to pass a state and federal background check, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry check, and Tuberculosis screening Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: Knowledge of human behavior and development Experience working with trauma-informed care practices Familiarity with computer software, including KaleidaCare and MS Office Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, and professionals Capacity to maintain a helping role and intervene appropriately to meet service goals Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Seton Home, we are committed to the growth and development of our staff.
