About the Role The Student Success Coach is responsible for assisting students throughout their education program with CTU. In this role, you will be speaking with students over the phone and responding to inquiries received through our systems. Working from your home office, you will have an assigned schedule during our hours of operation, which define a 40-hour work week. We are open Monday-Thursday 8am to 7pm CDT, and Friday & Saturday 8am to 5pm CDT, and we hire people from all time zones that have availability during our hours of operation, in support of our students. Key Responsibilities Support Enrollment and Student Development: Support enrollment, student development, and retention services while ensuring a quality learning experience. Coach Students to Success: Manage a group of assigned students and coach each through their degree program, through proactive and timely outreach. Encourage and Support Students: Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach as they work to develop skills and knowledge for academic success. Provide a Trusted Environment: Provide a trusted environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer Resources and Support: Offer and teach students how to use resources to help maximize the success of each student. Resume and Career Development Support: Become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support. Liaison for Students: Be a liaison for students, enabling them to connect with various departments. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). Experience in Academic/Admissions Support: Two or more years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling essential. Knowledge of Academic Policies and Procedures: Knowledge of academic policies and procedures. Technical Skills: Ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent Communication and Listening Skills: Excellent communication/listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner. Customer Support Focus: Strong customer support focus and attention to details. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Master's Degree: A Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). Experience in Coaching or Mentoring: Experience in coaching or mentoring students or individuals in an academic or professional setting. Knowledge of Career Development Principles: Knowledge of career development principles and practices. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to coach and mentor students to achieve their academic goals. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with students, faculty, and staff. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze student data and develop strategies to support student success. Technical Skills: Ability to learn and use various software applications, including student information systems and learning management systems. Time Management and Organization: Strong time management and organization skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
