Job Brief and Responsibilities We are looking for an innovative and experienced technical lead to oversee our technical team and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing briefs, writing progress reports, identifying risks, and developing work schedules. They will be able to inspire their team to reach their goals and will always be looking to expand their industry knowledge to quickly identify and solve problems. As a technical lead, being accountable, trustworthy, and able to build lasting relationships with the team is crucial. Own the design, architecture, development, and QA for a SaaS offering, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. Coach and mentor team members through code reviews, promoting a Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approach to improve code quality. Collaborate in troubleshooting production issues, providing timely workarounds and solutions. Be a strong and positive voice in Scrum meetings, contributing to the team's success and agility. Work closely with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations. Design client-side and server-side architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Build the front-end of applications with appealing visual design, focusing on user experience and engagement. Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Write effective APIs and test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software to maintain high-quality standards. Create security and data protection settings, prioritizing the safety and privacy of user data. Build features and applications with a mobile-responsive design, catering to a diverse range of users and devices. Write technical documentation, ensuring clarity and ease of use for future reference and development. Qualifications and Experience Required To be considered for this role, you should have: 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience in B2C, B2B SaaS, or cloud-scale services environments, with experience in architecture design and definition using tech stacks such as ROR, Nodejs/Reactjs, Python, Ruby, Java, or similar. Experience in delivering full-stack solutions across multiple technologies, demonstrating versatility and adaptability. A proven track record as a technical leader within an Agile development environment, showcasing your ability to lead, motivate, and manage high-performing teams. Extensive experience in using databases (SQL or NoSQL) and strong advocacy for TDD and BDD practices. Expert knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and back-end languages (e.g., Java) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js). Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache), and UI/UX design principles. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind. A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field, providing a solid foundation for your technical expertise.
