About the Role: Ground Maintenance Technician As a Ground Maintenance Technician with Delta Airlines, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our ground support equipment (GSE). This full-time position is based in Colorado and offers a competitive hourly rate of $35. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the mechanized ground support equipment that keeps our operations running smoothly. You'll be part of a dedicated team that takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Repair: Review, service, investigate, repair, replace, and upgrade various parts of ground support equipment, including truck chassis, body, and drive-train components. Technical Skills: Perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs, painting, bodywork, and specialized tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition. Data Entry: Complete data entry tasks to record work performed, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other Delta Airlines staff and external vendors to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities. Safety and Environmental Awareness: Practice safety-conscious and environmentally aware behaviors in every operational process and procedure. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A strong commitment to safety and the security of self, others, and personal data. The ability to embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. Fluency in English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and understand the language clearly. Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including fixed or rotating shifts, both indoors and outdoors, with potential for travel, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays. A minimum of three years of demonstrated ability in a relevant field. The physical capability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift objects between 50 and 70 pounds. The ability to achieve a satisfactory score on entrance tests designed to assess your capability to perform required tasks. The ability to read, understand, and apply information found in technical documents and manuals. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge: A detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines. The ability to read, understand, and apply information found in technical documents, manuals, and schematics. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and coordinate repairs with other GMTs and external vendors. The capacity to answer customers' needs with minimal direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive circumstances.
