Immediate Start
Issue: Our issue stems from Google OAuth with react-native-google-signin. Expo sdk 53 -For iOS, on the emulator and physical devices, oAuth flow seems to work fine for both development & preview builds. -For Android, on the emulator, both development and preview builds work fine. However, recently we have begun internally distributing these builds (.apk file) to non-tech Android individuals for testing, who are reporting they are not getting past the login page on their real Android device. The key here is that not one of us has an Android phone. -We are adding the test user (on Google Cloud since we are in test mode), and they are reporting that oAuth is not completing. I am certain it's a configuration error despite it being odd if works fine on the emulator. The gap that you'll fill for us is having some in-depth technical knowledge in Expo and Android Studio. Also, I don't want to be rude, but I'm not a recruiter. I don't need to hear that you're a senior dev or MAANG...yada yada. I just need to know you know how to follow these steps in a timely, streamlined manner, and you are available for an hour. I am looking for someone who can do the following: 1. We need to add your email to Google test users, so please be willing to do this. A spare throwaway Gmail for testing is perfect. 2. You MUST own a physical Android device. This doesn't work otherwise. Having an emulator alone is not enough for this role. You will receive our .apk file, install it, and proceed to step 3. 3. You should know how to connect your physical device to Android studio, set up Logcat, and view logs while you're running our app. We can, of course, help you with this, but you should know how to do this. 4. Go through our oAuth flow and see what the logs show on logcat (hopefully a useful error). Share any Errors that you see or potential clues related to a sign-in Error. The job is both simple and technical as you need to: /*simple*/ 1. Share an email 2. Install an app on an Android phone /*technical*/ 3. Understanding of Android Studio, adb commands, and logcat 4. Understanding of errors for debugging and useful reporting. This job will pay $50 for work that should not exceed 3 hours (total). We also may ask you to uninstall and install newer version (possibly). • USA ONLY Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
