The Senior Commodity Supplier Assurance Engineer (CSAE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon and the external supply base. The CSAE provides both communication of requirements and performance feedback to the supplier as well as being a conduit for Quality information back to internal functions within RTX. The SAE’s role includes execution of Source Inspections, Supplier Assessments, Supplier Engagements, Special Process Management, Contract Review/Requirement Flowdowns, and First Article Validation. They facilitate problem resolution with a strong RCCA background, meeting facilitation and continuous improvement activities using RTX SQ tools and APQP elements. In addition, the SAE is a key player in the management of Supplier’s performance and development. The SAE represents RTX professionally and supports Raytheon Technologies Vision, Values, Strategy and Goals in the supply base. Location Information:This position entails assignment as a Senior Commodity Supplier Assurance Engineer in the Dallas, Texas region of the US and is remote. Visits to local Supplier facilities will be required and will require a home office be maintained. Candidates are required to live in or immediately adjacent to Dallas, Texas and within 50 miles of a major international airport. Domestic travel is predominately driving within a 50–300-mile radius with some flying. Travel, which includes day trips and some overnight, is expected 60% of the time. NOTE - this role does not provide relocation assistance to the Dallas, TX region. What you will do:Planning and performing in-process and final source inspection of product at suppliers in accordance with applicable drawing and purchase order requirementsInterpreting purchase order quality notes and quality requirements to ensure subcontractor/supplier understandingEnsuring flow down of Product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers and ensuring compliance with quality requirementsAssessing subcontractor/supplier quality capabilities throughout the program life cycle to achieve full program objectivesIdentifying supplier risk and systemic performance issues ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective solutions are identified and implemented with closure plansDriving continuous product / process improvements using statistical / analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and lean methodologiesWorking with other Quality functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs), to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skillsEnsuring Subcontract Data Requirements List deliverables are metSupports First Article Verification and Source InspectionQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years experience in Quality or Supplier Management and previous experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience utilizing one of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, etc. Source inspection experience with some of the following: Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Printed Wire Board (PWB), Wire/Cable, Electrical Items, Assemblies, Castings and MachiningExperience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes - RCCAPrevious experience with commercial and/or aerospace / defense regulations and standards or a commercial equivalent - i.e. AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, AS9145Experience with hardware inspection techniquesThe ability to obtain and maintain a U. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
