As a Lead Retail Customer Service Associate, you'll play a critical role in driving success and delivering a positive customer experience across all areas of our business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. About the Role As a Lead Retail Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for delivering expert service to our customers, managing production processes, and providing leadership to team members. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Demonstrate consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, and expert service is delivered to all customers. Manage Production Processes: Manage production flow to ensure all production orders are done right and on time, and take lead responsibility for digital imaging, scheduling, and running black and white or color production on full-service orders. Provide Leadership to Team Members: May provide leadership to team members on an assigned shift, assist in the training of store team members, and coordinate pick-up and delivery of customer orders. Operate Equipment and Manage Financial Transactions: Operate the Point of Sale terminal (POS), handle financial transactions, and make change, as well as complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting. Coordinate Shipping-Related Services: Provide customer service by determining appropriate shipping methods, informing customers of company products, services, routes, and rates, and ensure quality customer service is given to customers by providing packaging services. Maintain a Safe and Organized Work Environment: Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures, adhere to legal, HR, safety, and security policies and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent education. 2+ years of specialized experience in a customer service or retail environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods. The ability to move and lift 55 pounds. The ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure. The ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a leadership role or supervisory position. Knowledge of print, signs & graphics, and shipping services. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
