Role Overview As our Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our manufacturing engineering teams and projects, with a focus on optimizing production processes, improving overall efficiency, and ensuring consistent quality and deliverability for our customers. You will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing engineering strategies and processes, leading cross-functional teams, and driving the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Manufacturing Engineering Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive plans to optimize production processes, reduce cycle times, and improve overall efficiency. Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Drive Continuous Improvement Efforts: Implement continuous improvement methodologies, such as CI Engineering, 5S, Kaizen, and Shainin, to drive process optimization and cost reduction. Manage Project Plans: Develop and execute project plans to ensure timely delivery of projects and achievement of goals. Provide Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance and support to production teams, ensuring that quality standards and regulatory requirements are met. Analyze and Optimize Processes: Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction, and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity. Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with priority consideration given to those with advanced or Master's degrees. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization. Hands-on Experience: Direct, hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as CI Engineering, 5S, Kaizen, and Shainin. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent coaching, mentoring, training, and motivational skills. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences of all levels of technical proficiency. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Aerospace or Defense Experience: Experience working in the Aerospace or Defense industries, with a focus on electronics or manufacturing. AS9100 or ISO 9000 Certification: Certification in AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standards. Military Products Experience: Experience working with military products and/or DOD. Complex Manufacturing Processes: Experience with complex wire harnesses, cable assemblies, electronic circuit assemblies, and other manufacturing processes.
