Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and information architectures that support business and information science needs. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to develop and implement data solutions that drive business value and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop large-scale data pipelines to collect, process, and normalize data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accessibility. * Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical models to support business and information science needs. * Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch data processing. * Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data and analytics into business processes, improving decision-making and patient outcomes. * Develop and maintain data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients. * Ensure data quality and accessibility by incorporating data from various sources, adhering to data quality and openness standards. * Investigate current data technology landscapes to identify and evaluate key capabilities and recommend solutions. * Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements directed by the model/use case. Essential Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related field. * 5+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure). * Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications * 5+ years of experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark. * Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). * Experience with healthcare industry data is a plus.
