We are now seeking a seasoned Director - Digital Product Operations and Governance to lead our B2B Solutions products, ensuring operational effectiveness, compliance, and risk management. About American Express and the GCS Team American Express is a renowned financial services company with a rich history of innovation and customer-centricity. Our GCS team provides a comprehensive suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross-border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. As the business landscape evolves, we are developing B2B partner-embedded and automated payment solutions to seamlessly integrate into our customers' ecosystems. The B2B Solutions team is focused on building a new business model, key partnerships, value propositions, and go-to-market plans to capture B2B spend through ecosystem partners such as AP Automation partners, Accounting and ERP software providers, and procurement platforms & networks. With our B2B business having doubled in customers and volume over the last few years, we are now scaling our B2B ecosystem and require a Director - Digital Product Operations and Governance to ensure the continued growth and success of our products. Key Responsibilities Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency by driving robust compliance, controls, and governance for our B2B product suite. Lead the management of product and platform operations, including adherence to regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements. Collaborate with Technology to manage platform health, drive issue resolution, platform release testing, partner integrations, and continuous improvement. Lead New Product Approvals (AEMP54) for all B2B Solutions products and work closely with Operational Excellence. Drive risk oversight by managing product governance activities, including PRSA, TLM, controls, and testing. Maintain operational and supporting activities for One AP ACH payment service and collaborate across Product and Network teams. Provide operational support in driving servicing capability enhancements and developments with GSG, Product, and the servicing strategy team. Preferred Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: Extensive experience in B2B product development and/or product operations, with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. The ability to navigate ambiguity and translate unstructured information into structured, actionable plans. Strong organizational skills and project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and drive results with limited resources. A proven ability to balance high-level strategy with detailed operations and lead teams in a matrixed organization. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence business partners and drive business value without direct authority. Knowledge of the B2B payment space and solutions, with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
