About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Account Executive to join our team in the NYC Metro area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new and recurring revenues through the sales and marketing of our customizable applications. Key Responsibilities Proactively prospect for new sales opportunities, leveraging your network and industry expertise to identify potential clients Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospects, including product demonstrations that showcase the value of our solutions Develop and implement strategic sales plans to proactively identify and sell new opportunities, exceeding assigned annual sales quotas Handle the contracting process and simple sales negotiations, ensuring seamless closure of deals Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and acumen Design and recommend sales and marketing programs, setting short and long-term sales strategies for targeted prospects Develop and implement integrated sales strategies in conjunction with other business units on shared opportunities, fostering collaboration and teamwork Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition, staying ahead of the curve and identifying areas for differentiation Prepare and submit sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed opportunity, including prospects, for the region Represent the company at trade association meetings, promoting our products, sitting on panels, and acting as an overall industry expert Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 10 or more years of strategic sales or related experience in the commercial or multifamily real estate industry, with a proven track record of managing a territory and/or client relationships A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent training in business or sales management, combined with 7-10 years of sales experience Experience in selling software and/or knowledge of the Real Estate industry, with the ability to network within the industry and build strong relationships Demonstrated computer systems knowledge, including web technologies, CRM, employee self-service, and a general understanding of larger business system applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and deliver powerful presentations that engage and persuade audiences Strong time management, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple high-level priorities Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with software applications and hosted solutions in the real estate industry Knowledge of products, software pricing practices, selling skills, and personal computers, as well as various software application skills A marketing orientation with the ability to develop strong marketing strategies to edge out the competition An excellent understanding of the end-user business and issues, or the ability to apply unrelated knowledge to the Real Estate Industry Demonstrated ability to push past rejection to achieve results, with a strong focus on driving sales growth and exceeding targets Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop creative solutions Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the real estate industry and the ability to identify opportunities for growth Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At MRI Software, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
