What you will doAs a Data Engineer:You’ll analyze, design, and implement data pipeline features and infrastructure improvements. You’ll write efficient, well-tested code and conduct unit and integration testing. You’ll build and optimize data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes. You’ll participate in end-to-end project delivery—from ideation to production. You’ll identify and resolve anomalies and bugs in existing systems. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with security and product teams to embed security and compliance best practices into development processes. You’ll contribute to the team’s agility, quality, and automation efforts (CI/CD, testing, deployment). You’ll evaluate and advise on technical design and development decisions. You’ll surface and communicate risks related to technology, security, or operations. What your resume showsMust Haves6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or ETL development3+ years of experience in Apache Spark or Databricks2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services2+ years of experience building, deploying, and optimizing data ingestion pipelinesExperience working directly with internal and external stakeholdersA bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experienceNice to HavesExperience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka Streams)Familiarity with tools such as Apache Kafka, Delta Lake, Apache Hive, Apache Impala, Apache BeamExperience working in a startup environmentAzure cloud experienceExperience in cybersecurity or sensitive data protectionBilingual in English and FrenchStrategic preference for candidates residing in Quebec or OntarioWhat’s in it for you?
