[ad_1] Job DetailsAWS Migration Support ConsultantRemoteLong Term ContractRole SummaryWe are seeking an experienced AWS Migration Support Consultant to assist in planning, execution, and post-migration support of applications and workloads transitioning to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role will involve working closely with client stakeholders, application owners, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless migration with minimal disruption to business operations. Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & PlanningPerform discovery and assessment of current application and infrastructure landscape. Support migration planning including timelines, dependencies, and risk identification. Assist in workload prioritization and migration wave planning. Migration ExecutionSupport application and data migration activities leveraging AWS tools (e.g., Migration Hub, DMS, SMS). Collaborate with DevOps, networking, and security teams to ensure successful cutover. Execute migration runbooks and validate post-migration functionality. Post-Migration SupportProvide hypercare support during stabilization period. Troubleshoot issues, coordinate with AWS services teams as needed. Ensure application performance, availability, and compliance requirements are met. Governance & DocumentationMaintain migration documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials. Ensure adherence to client s compliance, security, and governance standards. Provide regular status updates and reporting to stakeholders. Required Skills & ExperienceHands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.). Familiarity with AWS migration tools (Migration Hub, Application Discovery Service, Database Migration Service, Server Migration Service). Experience in application migration projects (rehost, re-platform, refactor approaches). Make this as OptionalStrong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, application, and networking layers. Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in AWS. Good understanding of ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management). Excellent communication skills for working with business and technical stakeholders. Preferred QualificationsAWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional. AWS Certified Migration & Transfer Specialty (preferred). Prior consulting experience in large-scale cloud migration programs. Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.
