You will work closely with families, educators, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Your expertise and passion for teaching will enable you to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that foster academic excellence and social growth. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, utilizing technology and innovative teaching methods to engage students effectively. * Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, in collaboration with families, educators, and support staff. * Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to enhance student learning and development, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect. * Utilize technology to facilitate communication, instruction, and support, ensuring seamless integration with our remote learning platform. * Stay up-to-date with best practices, research, and technologies related to teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing, applying this knowledge to inform instruction and support. **Essential Qualifications** * Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Illinois (or equivalent certification in another state). * Prior experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students, preferably in a remote or online setting. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with remote or online teaching platforms, including video conferencing tools and learning management systems. * Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) or other sign languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and families. * Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, or other disabilities. * Strong knowledge of educational technologies, including assistive devices and software. **Skills and Competencies** * Strong instructional design and delivery skills, with the ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team. * Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and challenges. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At VocoVision, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
