About Hulu Business Affairs Hulu Business Affairs is responsible for negotiating deals and drafting agreements for above-the-line talent, underlying rights, and marketing for scripted streaming programming and broadcast programming at ABC Entertainment. The department provides support for other departments within the company, including development, production, finance, legal, and marketing, and engages in ancillary activities. As a key player in the entertainment industry, Hulu Business Affairs requires highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join their team as interns. A Day in the Life of a Business Affairs Intern Key Responsibilities: Drafting deal memos and short-form agreements for above-the-line talent, underlying rights, and marketing Distributing negotiation updates, closed deals, and signed agreements between different departments Providing support for other departments within the company, including development, production, finance, legal, and marketing Engaging in ancillary activities, such as researching and analyzing industry trends and best practices Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives Qualifications and Skills We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a genuine interest in entertainment law, negotiation theory, and the television business. While prior experience in media/entertainment is a plus, it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will possess: Essential Qualifications: A strong interest in entertainment law, the television business, and/or negotiation theory/strategy (relevant coursework is a bonus) Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (familiarity with OneNote is highly desirable) Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure A detailed-oriented approach, even when processing a large volume of documents Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience in the entertainment industry Basic knowledge of copyright law Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship Preference for students who are in at least the second year of their degree program Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits Work Environment and Company Culture At Disney Entertainment Television, we pride ourselves on our collaborative and dynamic work environment.
