Program Overview The Actuarial Improvement Program is a full-time program that provides participants with the opportunity to develop their actuarial skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and assignments, including risk evaluation, data analysis, and healthcare management. Key Responsibilities As a participant in the Actuarial Improvement Program, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and assignments, including: Risk Evaluation: Understand the concept of specific risks and provide results of analysis to management. Rate Filing: Organize and analyze filing data, prepare and submit necessary presentations for regulatory filings. Reserve Analysis: Analyze claim data and monitor reserve levels for adequacy and demonstrate an understanding of actuarial reserving methods and issues. Planning and Budgeting: Provide technical support and analysis for planning, budgeting, and reporting processes. Pricing, Trend, and Benefit Design: Develop and recommend pricing and trend for products or benefits. Technical Capability: Develop innovative technical solutions to various problems. Demonstrate proficiency with spreadsheet software and knowledge of database and online applications. Create and implement appropriate tools and models. Create and finalize business requirements and/or specifications for processes, tools, and systems. Migration: CVS Health follows a hybrid work model, giving office-based colleagues the flexibility to work from home and in the office, depending on the work that needs to be accomplished. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates who need to relocate more than 50 miles. Work visa sponsorship is available for this position. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. Required Qualifications To be considered for the Actuarial Improvement Program, you must: Meet educational requirements (see education section) Be willing to relocate to a designated Actuarial hub Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications for the Actuarial Improvement Program include: Internship or work experience supporting Actuarial aspects of an organization or business unit Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or community organization activities, or sports Strong written communication skills Experience with statistical or coding software.
