Job Summary As an Associate Creative Director, Copy Writing, you'll play a pivotal role in developing high-quality verbal content and creative concepts that resonate with our target audience and drive business results. You'll collaborate closely with our creative and design teams to ensure consistency, quality, and timeliness of material across multiple retail channels. Key Responsibilities: Develop compelling creative concepts and high-quality verbal content that aligns with our brand strategy and resonates with our target audience across multiple retail channels. Write creative and effective marketing copy for retail campaigns, following a creative brief and ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and overall quality. Research clients, competitors, and target audiences to inform creative strategy and execution. Provide writing support for aligned client groups and projects, collaborating with the creative team to meet specific project objectives. Produce original, clear, and credible copy, and be accountable for the final development of creative assets. Ensure messaging brand guidelines and directives are adopted and adhered to in all executions. Execute writing requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work, and edit and proofread copy to ensure quality and consistency. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: At least six years of relevant experience in copy writing, demonstrated through work and/or military experience, or specialized training. External and/or in-house agency experience. Willingness to provide a portfolio of work. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field. Five or more years of professional-level writing experience. Proven ability to develop creative concepts with a knack for thinking creatively. Compelling and thoughtful writing, with creativity as a hallmark, and adaptability to different assignments. Leadership skills, with the ability to build engagement, motivation, and a sense of ownership in team members. Experience with major retailers or national specialty stores. Demonstrated proficient expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat). Proficiency with AP and Chicago Manual of Style. Understanding of writing applications in traditional and emerging channels. Ability to maintain a consistent voice and audience focus in writing. Ability to 'boil down' verbose content to the 'essence' of the main message in a concise, effective manner. Consistent quality control in work. Understanding of specific channels or vertical markets as required by job function. Proven ability to adapt style of copy to various audiences, purposes, or media.
