What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will: • Conduct daily morning sessions to invigorate and align student-athletes for the day. • Lead personalized motivation meetings focused on academic and personal growth. • Facilitate life skills workshops using storytelling, reflection, and interactive coaching techniques. • Oversee afternoon athletic practices that foster grit, teamwork, and accountability. • Monitor student progress and uphold high standards for mindset and performance. What You Won’t Be Doing This role excludes: • Teaching in a conventional classroom environment. • Being a passive observer on the sidelines. • Conducting unstructured or purposeless practices. • Handling administrative paperwork or academic grading. • Coaching non-competitive or recreational athletes. Elite Sports Mentor Key Responsibilities Guide high-potential student-athletes with daily coaching and motivational sessions that promote academic achievement and life skill development, using the discipline of elite sports as a foundation. Basic Requirements • Seeking former elite athletes with top-tier achievements — Olympians, World Champions, or professional players in leagues like the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans. • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in any field. • Proven track record of using sports to mentor and teach life skills. • Demonstrated ability to provide motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts. • Legal authorization to work in the U. S. without the need for visa sponsorship. • Willingness to reside in or move to Austin, TX. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
