Job Summary The successful candidate will be recognized as an informed authority in the discipline of Enterprise Data Storage Administration and Engineering, with the ability to articulate and demonstrate understanding across different platforms. This role includes managing and maintaining our data storage conditions, defending data backups, teaming up with cross-functional groups, and giving continuous suggestions and best practices to the group. The technology includes various NAS, SAN, and DAS conditions and other capacity technologies. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise data storage environments Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software Define and implement trend storage design techniques, based on industry standards and best practices Interface and communicate with application, database, server, and other technology groups on architecture and configuration selection, to ensure suitable storage technology and design Demonstrate strong organizational skills to adapt and prioritize tasks in a continually changing workplace Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and irregular tasks Contribute technical support and guidance on complex activities like installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all systems Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the safety of storage systems Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field with an emphasis on networking and storage protocols Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with expertise in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs A strong grasp of current and emerging data protection technologies Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3) Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows) VMWare concepts and administration Preferred Qualifications In addition to the requirements, the following qualifications are preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related discipline Experience with cloud-based storage solutions Certifications in data storage or related fields Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Strong technical skills in data storage and management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Hobby Lobby, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
