Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Oak Crossing, our long-term care facility in Detroit Lakes. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and serving their needs in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents, including personal hygiene care, assistance with nutritional needs, and recognition of changes in resident condition. Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for residents, identifying and reporting safety hazards and emergency situations. Recognize and deal with the problems of the aging process, providing compassionate care and support to residents. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care and services are delivered to residents. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in providing exceptional patient care. Essential Qualifications Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program or current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry at time of hire. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with weekend and holiday rotations. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a long-term care facility or skilled nursing setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on serving residents with diverse cultural backgrounds.
