About the Role We're excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Mechanic to work with us on a full-time remote basis, with a competitive hourly rate of $30. As a Mechanic with Workwarp, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that require technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes. Diagnose and repair issues with Peterbilt tractors, tanker trailers, PTO, and side dump equipment. Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve mechanical problems efficiently. Perform wiring repairs and modifications for truck and trailer lighting systems. Work on brake systems, including air-dryers and adjustments. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company standards. Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects. Stay updated with the latest technologies and techniques in the field to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: A clean driving record; CDL is a plus. Certification from a Mechanic school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Experience with diagnostic software and tools. Knowledge of Peterbilt tractors, tanker trailers, PTO, and side dump equipment. Your own set of mechanic tools. Experience with wiring (truck and trailer lighting) and brake systems (air-dryers, adjustments). The ability to work in various weather conditions, both inside and outside. The capacity to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge: Previous experience working with similar companies or in a remote setting. Advanced knowledge of truck mechanics, particularly for Peterbilt tractors and associated equipment. Certifications or training in specific diagnostic software or mechanical systems.
