About the Role As a Staff Pharmacist, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient care and driving pharmacy operations excellence. You'll work closely with our Pharmacy Administrator to lead and coordinate our Pharmacy Care Staff, ensuring the highest quality patient care, administrative compliance, and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include: Patient Safety: Ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and monitoring patient outcomes. Pharmacy Professional Practice: Staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices to inform patient care decisions. Administrative Requirements: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and company policies. Quality Assurance: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care and pharmacy operations. Customer Service: Providing exceptional patient care and service, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Staff Management: Leading and developing our Pharmacy Care Staff to achieve operational excellence and deliver high-quality patient care. Inventory Management: Managing pharmacy inventory, minimizing waste, and optimizing inventory levels. Financial Productivity: Contributing to the financial success of the pharmacy through efficient operations and cost-effective decision-making. Loss Prevention: Identifying and mitigating potential losses, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Workflow Management: Optimizing pharmacy workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and patient care. Required Capabilities To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field. A current, active pharmacist license in the state of Maryland. Not being listed on the DEA Barred Individuals List. Proof of vaccination certification through a recognized organization (e.g., APhA). No pending felony convictions or misdemeanors related to controlled substances. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience as a Staff Pharmacist or in a related role. Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in pharmacy practice. Excellent leadership and management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
