About Google's Hardware Manufacturing Operations Google's Hardware Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for delivering the manufacturing capabilities that power Google's world-class hardware products. As a Product Engineer on this team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement manufacturing processes, tools, and methodologies that drive product quality, reliability, and scalability. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that Google's hardware products meet the highest standards of excellence and are delivered to market efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead design reviews between Design and Manufacturing Engineering to drive requirements that are critical to executing Design For Excellence (DFX) and test strategy. Ensure plant readiness, support manufacturing line ramp, provide product investigation training, and gather feedback on form issues. Manage the bone pile and drive yield detraction analysis to improve product quality. Work with the Product team to highlight risks and develop mitigation plans. Spend up to 5 days per week working onsite in Guadalajara, MX. Collaborate with Quality Engineers to establish product quality and reliability targets. Validate product qualification plans, support reliability testing, and review results to ensure product performance meets requirements. Coordinate release of New Product Introduction (NPI) Bill of Materials (BOMs) into Product Data Management (PDM) system. Support second source part qualification and release of ECOs and MCOs. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: A four-year certification in Electrical Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience in a company creating supply chains in manufacturing and testing. Experience working with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), contract manufacturers, and part suppliers for datacenter server type products. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: 3+ years of experience in a company creating supply chains in manufacturing and testing. Experience working with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and part suppliers for datacenter class server accelerator products (e.g., GPU, FPGA, or ASIC). Experience creating and executing a design validation test plan for a complex electronic assembly. Understanding of ASIC DFT and ATE test processes, and/or post-silicon validation. Knowledge of SQL queries and scripting in Python or Perl.
