The Leave and Accommodation Manager is responsible for supporting associates leave and accommodation requests in compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other applicable policies. This role serves as a liaison between associates, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and supportive leave experience. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required · 4 year degree in Human Resources management or related fields and 4+ years' experience in benefits and absence administration, or comparable combination of education and experience · Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and related employment laws · Excellent organizational and communication skills · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and documentation systems Preferred · Experience with case management and associate relations This is a remote position and may be located in any location and time zone in the United States. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES · Leave Management o Review and approve leave requests under FMLA, ADA, and Personal Medical categories. o Coordinate with third-party vendor to transfer case management for property associates. o Retrieve and review documentation from vendor, including medical certifications and work restrictions. o Maintain accurate records of leave start/end dates, medical certifications, and return-to-work timelines. · Documentation and Tracking o Lead the ADA interactive process by conducting intake calls, assessing accommodation needs, managing documentation, and providing empathetic guidance throughout the leave lifecycle. o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and company policies. · ADA Interactive Process o Initiate and guide the ADA interactive process during initial associate calls. o Assess the associate’s current condition and concerns about returning to work. o Manage potential accommodations in partnership with internal stakeholders along with documentation · Operational Support o Monitor and triage the leave and accommodations mailbox. o Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate leave coding and pay continuation. o Support offboarding or separation processes when return-to-work is not feasible. · Associate Support & Communication o Serve as the primary point of contact for associates navigating leave and accommodation processes. o Provide clear, empathetic communication throughout the leave lifecycle. o Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Associate Relations to resolve complex cases or escalations The pay range for this position is $35.48 to $57.36 per hour. Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
