We're now seeking an experienced Guest Advocate (Cashier) to join our General Merchandise team in a fully remote capacity. As a Guest Advocate, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and engaging experience for our guests in our smallest format stores. About Our Small Format Stores Our small format stores are designed to provide a convenient and personalized shopping experience for our guests. As a Guest Advocate, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our stores are stocked, organized, and visually appealing. You'll work closely with our team to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests, from greeting them at the door to answering their questions and resolving any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests and responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner. Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs and providing personalized solutions. Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products, services, and policies to effectively address guest inquiries and resolve issues. Work efficiently to complete tasks, including cashiering, stocking, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Conduct weekly price changes, ensure accurate signing, and maintain inventory accuracy through regular scans and system audits. Support the execution of major transitions, ISM, and other business priorities. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety policies and best practices. Provide backup support for cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up services as needed. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance in all aspects of your work. What We're Looking For To succeed as a Guest Advocate, you'll need to possess a combination of skills, qualities, and experience. We're looking for individuals who are: Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive guest experience. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Comfortable with technology, including handheld scanners and other devices used to support our operations. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members. Physically able to lift, bend, and move merchandise as needed. Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications: Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members. Ability to communicate effectively and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment. Capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and ability to follow a multi-step process. Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment. In addition to these essential qualifications, we prefer candidates who have: Previous retail experience, particularly in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
