About Our HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and Liver Disease Specialty Care Our HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and Liver Disease specialty care team is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs. Key Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Take vital signs, record medical histories, and prepare patients for exams and procedures. Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as phlebotomy and EKGs, as needed. Provide patient education and support, addressing questions and concerns in a clear and compassionate manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling patient correspondence. Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans, promoting a team-based approach to healthcare. Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed. Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting. 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date (fully remote care team members are exempt from this requirement). One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required. For positions located in New Hampshire, a NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification or achieved within one year of eligibility.
