Our client, a leading Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to develop, administer, and enhance the firm s business intelligence platforms, with a primary focus on Power BI. This role will design and maintain intuitive dashboards, impactful visualizations, and actionable insights for both business and legal stakeholders. It will also lead the strategic migration of Tableau and Alteryx workflows to Power BI while maintaining legacy systems during a transitional period. Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BIAdminister Power BI, including workspace configuration, access controls, governance, and capacity planning. Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, insightful solutions. Lead the migration of Tableau dashboards and Alteryx workflows to Power BIMaintain and optimize legacy Tableau and Alteryx solutions during transition. Champion data visualization best practices, performance optimization, and user-centered designProvide training, documentation, and support for Power BI adoption and self-service reporting. Collaborate with data engineering and governance teams to ensure data quality and compliance. Stay current with advancements in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related tools to identify opportunities for innovation. Required Skills & Experience:Advanced Power BI expertise (DAX, Power Query, RLS, shared datasets)Strong data modeling, visualization, and performance tuning skills in large-scale environmentsExperience with Tableau and Alteryx, including development and migration strategies. Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases/data lakes. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Azure Synapse, or SQL Server integrationsKnowledge of BI governance, metadata management, and access controlsStrong business acumen, stakeholder engagement, and communication skillsMinimum 5 years in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data visualizationBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related fieldProfessional services or law firm experiencePreferred:Power BI or Microsoft Azure certificationExperience driving BI user adoption and self-service analytics.
