About the Role As the Director of Reinsurance Administration, you will be responsible for the management oversight of the day-to-day administration of reinsurance, ensuring seamless operations and driving business growth. You will be the internal lead for reinsurer audits, participate in special projects, and leverage your strong annuity and life product knowledge to inform business decisions. Key Responsibilities Manage the functionality of reinsurance administration systems/applications, ensuring timely and accurate completion of system changes/modifications. Maintain current knowledge and expertise of tools/systems that interact with the reinsurance administration system, staying up-to-date with industry developments. Foster professional relationships with reinsurers and system vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and communication. Ensure adequate and effective controls exist and are consistently executed, mitigating risks and driving business efficiency. Provide financial analysis and reporting to management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, informing business decisions and strategy. Lead reinsurer audits, ensuring compliance and driving business excellence. Participate in special projects, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive business growth and improvement. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of industry experience, preferably in reinsurance administration. Specific experience in reinsurance administration, with a deep understanding of TAI and reinsurance operations. Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously. Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating your ability to lead and manage teams. Preferred Qualifications To stand out in this role, you will ideally have: A strong understanding of the financial services industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and excellence. Experience with reinsurance administration systems/applications, with a deep understanding of their functionality and limitations. A proven ability to analyze complex data and drive business decisions, with excellent critical thinking skills.
