Job Overview The Client Interchanges group at Wayfair is responsible for all email, application push, and SMS communications between the company and its clients. As a Senior Data Analyst within this group, you will be part of the High-Level Examination and Experiences (AAI) team, reporting into the lead of the North America Email group. This is a newly formed role, offering you the unique opportunity to shape the specific responsibilities according to your preferences and skills. Your primary focus will be on providing data-driven insights, enhancing channel testing, serving as the marketing data expert, and channel performance reporting. Key Responsibilities Advanced Analysis and Insights: Perform in-depth examinations that require advanced SQL and data table knowledge, and lead knowledge-driven roadmapping to identify potential opportunities for channel improvement based on investigations performed. A/B Testing Improvement: Champion the application of statistical best practices, cement a flexible decision-making structure, and identify opportunities to streamline the testing process, such as automated Python results pulling and flexible dashboards. Data Expert: Serve as the primary partner for Marketing Data Engineering, focusing on medium-term asks (run planning) and shaping long-term guidance, and become the informed authority on data tables, extensively communicating these across the wider team. Performance Reporting: Normalize channel metrics and create flexible dashboards across stores/geos, prepare weekly and monthly performance analyses and draft stories, and field performance-related questions from MSO and Trends. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Technical disciplines, Economics, Business, or other concentrations with a quantitative focus. 3+ years of experience in a data-heavy role, in marketing, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, or possibly system fields. Proficiency in data analysis and advanced SQL, Google Sheets/Excel use, and a passion for finding patterns in data; knowledge of Python is a plus. Excellent critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill and convey complex ideas and influence senior-level and cross-functional partners. The capacity to own and execute on solutions to complex problems independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with large datasets and performing statistical analysis.
