Job Summary As a PPH Representative, you'll play a critical role in responding to incoming cases on Pet Poison Helpline and our animal nurse lines via telephone and chat. You'll take full histories and details of the events, triage the cases, and provide accurate medical, health, and safety information to pet owners. You'll also document each case in an electronic record and follow up as necessary to ensure the well-being of the animals. Key Responsibilities: Respond to incoming cases on Pet Poison Helpline and animal nurse lines via telephone and chat Take full histories and details of events, triage cases, and provide accurate medical, health, and safety information to pet owners Document each case in an electronic record and follow up as necessary to ensure the well-being of the animals Manage cases under pressure and be comfortable talking to people in various emotional states Maintain confidentiality of clients' products, procedures, and case details, as well as company operating procedures Schedules and Shifts We offer a range of scheduling options to accommodate your needs and preferences. Please review the following options and select the one that best suits you: Option 1: Weekend Only Shift 2-4 weekends a month, both Saturday and Sunday Mid Shift: 8.5 or 10.5 hour shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid break, between 10am-10:30pm CST Float Shift: 8.5 or 10.5 hour shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid break, between 5am-2:30am CST Eligible for weekend shift differential and $3/hr float shift differential Option 2: Every Weekend Shift Every Saturday and Sunday Evening Shift: 5 hour shifts, scheduled between 4pm-11pm CST Eligible for $3/hr every weekend shift differential and weekend shift differential Training Requirements All candidates must be able to commit to a 4-week (or 6 weeks for Overnight Veterinary Technicians), full-time, paid, remote training process. Training schedules are determined in advance and may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Requirements, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities To be successful in this role, you'll need: At least 3 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic/hospital performing duties similar to those of a veterinary technician/assistant Emergency experience preferred for some positions Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Above-average proficiency with keyboarding, PCs, Microsoft Office, and common computer software and hardware Strong attention to detail and spelling, with the ability to accurately enter data with minimal errors Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately, and empathetically Customer service-focused attitude and behavior Ability to maintain confidentiality of clients' products, procedures, and case details, as well as company operating procedures Remote Agent Requirements To work remotely with our company, you'll need: A reliable internet connection that meets our technical requirements (details available on our careers page) A dedicated workspace that allows you to work without interruptions or distractions The ability to focus on work without other responsibilities, such as caring for animals or dependents Pay and Benefits We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including: Starting base rate of $18-$19/hour, with shift differentials applied on top of the base rate if applicable Weekend shift differential of $5/hour 401K with match Paid time off Paid holidays Medical, dental, vision, life, pet, and other supplemental insurance options Short- and long-term disability insurance CE and license reimbursement Incentive programs and more!
