Why this role is excitingWe seek highly motivated Engineering Managers who can lead a team to drive large, strategic, and complex projects. This position requires a high level of leadership, empathy, mentoring other engineers, and helping to design and architect scalable solutions. In this role, you will face many challenges—from developing individual design system components to leading web accessibility efforts across AuditBoard. ResponsibilitiesLead engineering for AuditBoard’s Design Systems and Accessibility teamMentor and inspire a diverse team of engineers with a high degree of empathy and emotional intelligenceManage and develop the team through hiring, retaining, mentoring, and continually building the team and individuals’ capabilitiesDevelop and nurture relationships with Product Management, QA, Delivery, Design, Customer Support, GTM, and product development teams to develop the best-in-class experience for our usersOwn build and delivery of Luna, AuditBoard’s design systemChampion web accessibility efforts across all AuditBoard teamsLead efforts to improve web accessibility of core AuditBoard componentsImprove all aspects of the product—both technical and processes—and deliver outstanding results for our customersWork cross-functionally with other engineering teams and product lines to support front-end productsWork closely with Product Management to set goals and objectives to define and execute the roadmapIterate and improve on agile best practices to deliver clarity and transparency within your team and across the organizationAttributes for a successful candidate5+ years of experience developing modern tech stacks2+ years managing an engineering teamExperience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, best practices, and techniquesExperience managing or building a design systemModern JS Framework Experience: Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (Ember is preferred, but Vue, React, Angular, etc. are valuable for front-end collaboration). PreferredExperience in a highly regulated, ARC (Audit, Risk, and Compliance) environment. Managed remote or distributed teams. Experience in an agile development environment and with modern project management tools.
