The Early Head Start Training Partner is primarily responsible for collaborating with departments, programs, and branch leaders to identify and meet training needs for staff, clients, resource families, volunteers and other key audiences. This individual is also responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and coordination of agency-wide training related to programmatic policies, procedures, and safety for program staff. This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate self-paced, virtual instructor-led, and in person trainings; • Serve as a subject matter expert on training requirements for Early Head Start; • Collaborate closely and effectively with program leadership, PQI team members, and branch leaders to identify training needs, develop staff skills, support performance quality improvement implementations, and ensure trainings are in compliance with funder; licensing; federal, state and local entity; contract; accreditation; continuing education requirements, when applicable; and internal standards; • Create and maintain role-specific curriculum, including required onboarding, within the learning management systems (LMS); • Measure training effectiveness, analyze data, compile reports, and communicate metrics and data insights to relevant stakeholders; • Assess existing trainings for accuracy, relevancy, and effectiveness and update, replace, or retire accordingly; • Identify and utilize evidence-based, research-informed best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and training delivery; • Promote training opportunities through a variety of communication channels based on the learner audience, collaborating within the team and cross-departmentally as needed; • Identify, recruit, and support qualified staff (subject matter experts) to help design and/or facilitate trainings within and across branches; • Effectively use technology tools to design, develop and deliver training including Articulate Rise, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, ClickUp, and Cornerstone and Absorb Learning Management Systems (LMS); • Collaborate with external organizations, initiatives, and training vendors, as needed; • Serve as an active member of internal committees and workgroups as needed; • Remain current on national trends and best practices in assigned program and content areas (for example: foster care, social work, immigration, family strengthening, etc.); • Stay abreast of agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements for social services; • Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Services, or related field of study from an accredited college; master's degree preferred; • At least two (2) years of experience designing, delivering, and overseeing training programming. Experience in compliance training is a plus; • Experience in a child and family welfare agency is a plus; • Experience in Head Start, Early Head Start or Early Childhood programming is preferred; • Demonstrated problem solving, project management, collaboration, and public speaking skills; • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus; • ATD and/or Kirkpatrick Certification preferred; • Demonstrated competency in learning management systems and instructional design software; • Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a regulated, fast-changing environment; • Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality; • Willing and able to travel domestically as needed; • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U. S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany; • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage; • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
