Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled No Fault (NY/NJ) PIP Claims Adjuster I, II, or Senior to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a claims adjuster, you will play a critical role in investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, damages, and adjusting and negotiating claims within your limit of authority. Key Responsibilities Investigate and confirm the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents, applying your knowledge of insurance policies and industry practices. Determine coverage, liability, damages, and adjust and negotiate claims within your limit of authority, ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively. Partner with assigned representatives from fraud or subrogation areas to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers and the company. Recognize and identify body parts of a vehicle and understand other potential property damage, applying your technical knowledge to assess and resolve claims. Identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional support and guidance throughout the claims process. Determine subrogation or fraud potential and develop strategies to handle these complex issues, protecting the interests of our company and our customers. Apply intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. Essential Qualifications A 4-year Bachelor's Degree is preferred, although equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 2 or more years of experience in claims adjusting, preferably in NY or NJ PIP Claims, with a proven track record of success in investigating and resolving complex claims. Strong knowledge of insurance policies, industry practices, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions to complex problems. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in claims adjusting, preferably in NY or NJ PIP Claims, with a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of these types of claims. Professional certifications, such as CPCU or AIC, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in claims management software and other industry-specific tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
