As a remote Medical Transcriptionist, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from home without the need to work on holidays or weekends. Position Overview: The Role of a Medical Transcriptionist As a Medical Transcriptionist with Ackerman Cancer Center, your primary responsibility will be to interpret and accurately transcribe dictation from our physicians and healthcare professionals. You'll be working with our electronic records software to ensure that patient records are up-to-date and accurate. This is a remote position, but you must be based in Jacksonville, FL, and have a suitable workspace at home that meets our standards for safety, confidentiality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Accurately transcribe dictation from physicians and healthcare professionals in a timely manner. Use electronic records software, including Mosaic EMR and Winscribe Speech Recognition Technology. Ensure all transcriptions meet Ackerman Cancer Center's standards for quality and accuracy. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Provide high-quality work while working independently in a remote setting. Stay up-to-date with current medical transcription guidelines and practices. Requirements: The Skills and Qualifications We're Looking For To succeed as a Medical Transcriptionist with Ackerman Cancer Center, you'll need: 2+ years of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist in a clinical medical setting. Proficiency in computer and word processing concepts, along with a good understanding of grammar, punctuation, editing, and spelling. Strong organizational and self-management skills to work effectively in a remote setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and accurate transcriptions. Adequate hearing and vision acuity to process assigned work accurately and on time. A suitable remote workspace that meets our standards for safety, confidentiality, and productivity. Preferred Qualifications: What Sets You Apart While not mandatory, the following qualifications can make you a more competitive candidate: Medical Transcription certification from an accredited transcription school or professional certification organization. 1+ year of experience in an oncology and/or radiation medical environment. Proficiency with Mosaic EMR and Winscribe Speech Recognition Technology software, or a willingness to learn.
