If you're a data enthusiast with a passion for innovation, we want to hear from you! **About the Role** As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data systems that meet non-functional and functional business requirements. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including data, product, and engineering groups, to identify and execute process enhancements, improve data delivery, and automate manual processes. Your expertise in AWS and SQL will enable you to build robust data pipelines, providing valuable insights into key business performance metrics. **Key Responsibilities** * Collect and process large, complex datasets to meet business needs * Identify, design, and execute process enhancements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater flexibility, improving data delivery, and automating manual processes * Build required frameworks for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies * Develop scientific tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing significant insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition * Collaborate with partners, including data, product, and engineering groups, to address data-related technical issues * Work with partners, including the Leadership, Product, Data, and Configuration groups, to support their data system needs while addressing data-related technical issues * Create or modify hardware and technology to meet customer needs * Perform other work duties as directed by Representative's Chiefs **Information, Skills, and Competencies** * Knowledge of the practical application of design science and technology, including applying principles, methods, techniques, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and products * Knowledge of design procedures, tools, and standards involved in the creation of accurate technical plans, drawings, and models * Ability to use reason and thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems * Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future critical thinking and navigation * Skilled in identifying complex issues and evaluating related data to create and assess options and execute solutions * Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; it doesn't involve fixing the problem, just recognizing there is a problem * Ability to combine pieces of information to form basic principles or decisions (includes finding a relationship between seemingly unrelated events) * Ability to move back and forth between at least two activities or sources of information (like speech, sounds, contact, or other sources) * Ability to arrange things or activities in a specific order or sequence according to a particular rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, numerical tasks) * Ability to recognize or identify a known pattern (a figure, object, word, or sound) that is hidden in other distracting material **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Southwest Airlines, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
