As a Dental Hygienist for the SEAL! Michigan Program, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality oral health services to children and promoting a culture of excellence within our dental team. About Us Honor Community Health is a patient-directed and community-driven organization that ensures patients come first by providing enabling services to assist with specific barriers to care, such as transportation, translation, food security, and other social services. Our staff is passionate about delivering quality healthcare to all members of the community, regardless of their situation. Key Responsibilities Provide direct oral hygiene and preventive services to children participating in the SEAL! Michigan program, including sealant application, fluoride treatments, and oral health education. Conduct baseline oral hygiene assessments and record patient-hygiene transactions in the patient's dental record. Refer patients for further treatment when necessary and discuss treatment plans with parents or guardians of minor patients. Promote the SEAL! Michigan program through community outreach and engagement with school systems. Maintain accurate records, track grant requirements, and ensure compliance with center policies and procedures. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care management for all patients. Perform independent procedures as delegated and directed by the dental director or dentist. Ensure proper disposal of contaminated materials and maintain a safe working environment. Essential Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene. Unrestricted license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of Michigan. Current CPR (BLS) certification. A minimum of two years of experience as a registered dental hygienist. Strong computer skills and experience working in a dental care environment. Preferred Qualifications Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide certification. Experience working with diverse patient populations and in community outreach programs.
